Types of Data Storytelling

I hope you have a better understanding of each of the eight data story types outlined and illustrated in this first lesson of course 4. To review - these eight data story types can be used all by themselves to tell a compelling data story to your audience, or they can be used in combination to tell a more complex story. They can also be used to explore and find stories within your data. The best way to do that is to create a checklist for yourself of all eight, and then go down the list one by one and ask yourself whether you can find a data story of each and every type. When you get to the bottom, you’re sure to have at least one checked off, and most likely you’ll have a few to consider how to mix and match to wow your audience!
